Carnbooth House Hotel, Glasgow

Polishinterior was contracted to carry out a full refurbishment of all the old joinery at the Carnbooth House Hotel in Glasgow. We were asked to present a comprehensive plan, comprising of accurate CAD drawings for proof of concept, and a 1:1 working sample on agreement to proceed. Afterwards, our windows were fully approved by Historic Scotland. This project also included making new curved sash windows, oak panneling, architraves, as well as using old stained glass as part of new double-glazed units. The total amount of sash box windows was eighty-eight, and the total value of project, including fitting, was over seventy thousand pounds, a very competetive price given the scope of this project.

Carnbooth Hotel was awarded first prize at the Scottish Energy & Environment Conference for Low Carbon Building of the Year 2010 in the ‘refurbishment’ category.
